Does Detroit Artisans consign items?

Yes! Each area of Detroit Artisans is curated with its own items and those of our consignors.

How does consignment work?

Detroit Artisans recommends calling the store to discuss the items you would like to consign before bringing any items in. The phone number and store hours can be found at the bottom of this page. Consignors will need to come into the store to review the full contract before bringing items in.

What types of items does Detroit Artisans consign?

Antiques, collectibles, industrial items, refurbished items, retro, vintage and many others. A general rule of thumb is that most items newer than 1990 are not featured in the store. Detroit Artisans does not sell liquor, firearms, food, or chemicals.

Does Detroit Artisans buy items / estates?

As a general rule, no. We encourage you to consider consignment instead of selling outright. In rare cases, Detroit Artisans may make an offer on items, but this occurs less than 5% of the time.
